Weaving A Willow Obelisk with Sarah Webb

Weaving A Willow Obelisk with Sarah Webb

Sunday 28th April 10am - 1pm

Last September, Amanda and I visited Sarah Webb’s workshop and loved her work. I’m very excited to say that she has agreed to teach a course in the Flower Field.

The quality of Sarah’s work is wonderful and on this half-day course, she will guide you through making a 6-foot tall round plant support to take home.

All materials and cake and coffee/tea from the Sheep Shelter Café are included.

About Sarah

Based in Combwich in Somerset’s willow-growing heartland, Sarah has been weaving willow since she was 17 and apprenticed to local basketmaker Norman Studley. Through him, she embarked on a journey that still inspires her today. Her work includes sculpture, lantern making and coiled work. She makes a wide selection of traditional and contemporary baskets with an emphasis on quality and sustainability and teaches at various centres in the area.

This course is suitable for…
