Held in our workshop next to the Flower Field, our courses are relaxed and friendly and cater for everyone from complete novices to experienced gardeners and florists. We keep numbers low so that everybody has time and opportunity to ask questions and get hands-on help from Jan, who is always happy to pass on tips and advice gleaned in her 10 years of growing flowers professionally.

"Thank you so much, Jan, for a superb morning with you. A very inspirational workshop and felt you were so generous with your time and advice.  Thoroughly enjoyed it."

Sunday 25th March  10am - 12.30pm,
Sunday 8th April        10am - 12.30pm

Jan guides you through planning a cutting garden, sharing ideas about what to grow and when, to give you bucketfuls of flowers through the season. After an introduction to the best varieties to grow, Jan takes you into the Flower Field to share growing methods and tips to incorporate into your patch.

You'll leave with a plan of your future plot and a sowing and planting schedule. Light refreshments are provided and a selection of seeds and seedlings will be available to buy.

If you have a particular spot earmarked for your cutting patch, please bring along rough measurements to help you draw up your plan.

Sunday 25th March   2pm - 3.30pm
Sunday 8th April        2pm - 3.30pm

One of the keys to making up a beautiful homegrown bouquet is having a good range of feature flowers, filler and foliage to cut. Instead of buying endless packets containing hundreds of seeds, join us on this short course where we will help you choose and sow 18 different varieties of flower to take home and grow on.

Seeds, sowing trays, compost and labels are all provided.

Why not combine this course with the morning PLANNING A CUTTING PATCH course to get your cutting garden off to a really good start.
