Privacy Policy

Like most companies, we collect personal details from you to enable us to conduct our business. We use this information solely for legitimate business purposes.

The ways in which we collect and process your personal data are as follows:

If you sign up to our newsletter

When you sign up to our newsletter via our website (www.jwblooms.co.uk), your name and email address is collected via the service provider Mailchimp. We do not store this Contacts List elsewhere and our Mailchimp account is password protected. Mailchimp’s privacy policy concerning our contacts can be found here:

We only personally add names and addresses to our Mailchimp Contacts List if you have specifically given us your name and email address for that purpose.

We use this personal data (name, email address) to send you occasional newsletters, informing you about JW Blooms’ news, activities and products. We may also use your name and email address to contact you for market research purposes.

We do not pass this information on to third parties.

Each time we communicate with you via Mailchimp, there is a button at the bottom of the list you can click to unsubscribe immediately from the list. There is also a link for you to be able to change your subscription preferences.

If you contact us about an order for flowers
If you email us about an order, we will not add your email to our Contacts List without your consent. We will use your email address only to contact you about the order. Similarly, if you ring us, we will use your phone number to contact you about the order. We will not store that phone number after the order has been fulfilled and paid for.

If your order is for delivery to a third party, we will ask for their name and address to enable us to deliver to them. In the past, we have used DPD couriers (formerly Interlink) and Royal Mail to deliver flowers on our behalf, so those details will have been passed on to them, for delivery purposes only.
DPD’s privacy policy can be found here
Royal Mail’s privacy policy can be found here.

We no longer send flowers via post or courier.

If you contact us about wedding or event flowers

If you enquire about wedding or event flowers, we will not add your details to our Mailchimp Contacts List without your consent. We keep a record of your name, email address, phone number and any other details you have given us on a document stored on our Google Drive, which is password protected. We will only use those details to contact you about your enquiry.

If you book us to provide flowers for your wedding or other event, we will ask you for personal details to enable us to provide that service. These usually include your name, address, email address, phone number and details of your venue. If we are delivering or installing flowers, we may also store names, phone numbers and addresses necessary for delivery and installation purposes. All these details are stored in a locked file until the end of the calendar year of your wedding, when they will be destroyed.

If you contact us by email for any reason
Our email account is hosted by Google G Suite and is password protected. We will not pass on any information you share with us nor add you to our Mailchimp Contacts List, without your consent.
